At first I thought it might be tricky to source a good mole catcher. Mole traps are cheap at £2.99, though I don't think Douglas Hogg fancied planting these vicious looking items above the holes in the lawn of his stately home. I suspect clearing up the corpses of spiked moles is a cheerless task, even if taken on a chilly but bright spring morning on the estate. But finding someone who will catch your moles is easy, especially for an MP who can promote this man's obvious obsession with the subterannean animals. I would have thought Jeff Nicholls' would love to tell his friends that he was now helping an elected member of HMG. Anyway, according to Mr Hogg, the services cost him £617, paid for by us.
If you'd like your moat cleaned, then you'll need someone like Amenity Water to come along and look after any water feature, any size. They dredged a moat recently with great success and I'm sure are highly recommended. I can't vouch for their prices, but the cost to us of Mr Hogg's moat dredge was £2200.
